Volunteering

If you would like to support our congregation, here are some ways you can:

Worship team

Greeters
Welcome people to worship, especially newcomers. They offer smiles, hand out programs, and share information during prayer meetings. This is a great job for a family!

Ushers
Are a vital part of worship, finding seats for new church members, passing offering plates during Sunday morning services, assisting with communion, and more. Simply put, you make our church service take place smoothly!

Music
And what is a church service without music? Opportunities for musicians include soloists, a praise band, youth and adult choirs, and more.

Bible Readers
it’s important to hear the Word of God. Each week we need people to read publicly at our gatherings.

Morning Tea
Be the person ready to make coffee and tea after Sunday service.

Kids Sunday Club
Find creative themed programming for our Club which runs from 10.00am during the service.

Events Team

Fellowship
Arrange catering and prepare tea/coffee for various events.

Security
A simple but important job! You stand guard and make sure young children do not wander off (particularly with nearby busy roads), and that anyone coming in is supposed to be there.

Set up and tear down
Help set up chairs and tables and ensure all the technical parts are put away and secured (eg. no trip hazards with extension cords etc).

Pastoral Care

Pastoral Care Assistants
Are you willing to assist in visiting those unable to attend services, make phone calls to check in on grieving families, offering a friendly face and kind words?

Emergency Assistance
Coordinate an ongoing calendar of people in hospital, having surgery or babies, and make meals, deliver food, and make sure they are cared for well while they’re focused on other things.

Other Volunteer roles

Church Council
Church Council members volunteer their time, talents, and resources for the good of the congregation overseeing areas of pastoral care, mission, ministry, finances and property. They are prayerfully elected from the membership of the Congregation.

Church Office Assistant
Sometimes the most cheerful part of a visit to a church during the middle of the week is the smiling volunteer helping coordinate all the day-to-day activities at the church.

Technology guru
Are you gifted with tech-savviness and can assist with running our sound desk, PowerPoint slides and cameras? Are you a graphic designer, photographer, or social media marketer? You can assist by creating promotional pieces, capturing the beauty of our church and congregation members, and assisting with spreading the Word.

Donations Supervisor
Collect unused make-up, perfume, and other cosmetics, as well as clothes and shoes to distribute to local homeless shelters.

You can request a donation from the Congregation members of mini soaps, shampoos, and other things like hand sanitiser and tissues.
